By the way, great job with the name of my dog. Zeus is correct.
Question of the night (this one has to be a little harder): Who caught the 73-yard Hail Mary that helped us win in college at Miami? Bonus: Who did we beat?
Have a great night everyone!
Hey Ben! I just wanted to let you know that I think you are awesome and so brave for everything you've done! Keep it up.

Hey Ben! I just wanted to write and tell you how refreshing it is to watch someone like you play football. You seem like a genuinely good guy...and not to mention you play great. It is going to be great to watch you improve as you get more NFL experience! I just wanted to tell you that on draft day I told my best friend that our hometown team, the Lions, should have picked you while you were still on the board...and im not just saying this cuz of the year you had! Anyway, to this day my friends call me a genius for seeing your talent and constantly remind me of what you are doing...THANKS FOR MAKING ME LOOK SO SMART!!
ok, wow, this was way too long...but good luck with everything and know you have some fans up north! peace,

Ben,
You passed to Eddie Tillitz to beat Akron 30-27 in 2001.
My sister and I were able to watch your win with Miami over North Carolina in 2002 (in the rain). We have become quite the Pittsburg fans here in North Carolina since you've joined them. Hope your off season goes well!

Hey Ben,
The pass to Tillitz against Akron was a memorable one for MAC fans. I went to Ohio U., so I was at more than one Miami/OU rivalry. I have always loved the Steelers and am very supportive of all MAC players who continue to excel in major sports to bring the conference its due recognition in Division 1 athletics. I wish you nothing but continued success in the future and my prayers are with you and you family.

Ben, Sorry to hear about the illness in your family. Hope all is well and better soon.
I had to write you to tell you about my soon to be 3 year old son D.J.
I took him out to the mall here in good old Findlay to see Mike Nugent and then to see Mr. Krenzel for an autograph. Each time my boy thought he was going to see BIG Ben. He is very smart for his age and it was so comical to see his reaction. Each time he found out that it was not you ,D.J. frowned a bit and asked where you were. Well anyway I told him someday we will run into you and that you were probably out of town getting ready for next season.
If you ever get a chance I have told your friend E.J. to bring you out to have a cold one anytime you feel like getting away from the fan craz in public. Take care, stay healthy and God Bless you and your family.

Hey Ben!
Its great to hear from you. I hope that the off season work-outs are going well. I just wanted to let you know that like everyone else here, I am a BIG fan along with my mom who has been a Steeler fan for almost 30 years. Every year we travel to Pittsburgh all the way from Albuquerque, NM to see a game. Although this past year, we came to Pittsburgh twice...once just to see you during training camp and the other time for a game.
I must say that when I saw you in training camp, I was very impressed with your skills and your graciousness with the fans. I saw you sign autographs and greet the fans in the RAIN during training camp. I knew then that you were going to be a special part of the team because you displayed such great character. In fact, before my mom and I left Pittsburgh, I bought your jersey because I had a feeling (and I was right)that it would be hard to find during the season. I gave the jersey to my mom for her birthday and she just cherishes it.
Anyway, I just want to wish you and your family well. Good luck....I can't wait 'til you help us get ONE FOR THE THUMB! GO STEELERS!

First off, my heart goes out to your family member who is under the weather...hope he/she will pull a full recovery soon...
On your own 30yd, 3 seconds left, you threw a hail mary to Eddie Tillitz for a 30-27 win over Akron.
Good recap? Thanks, but I had to look it up. Honestly, before you became the Steel City Savior, all I knew about you was that beat my Cards in the GMAC Bowl...grrr...
It's OK though. I forgive you for that one since I'm goo big of a Steelers fan to be mad at you...besides, currently, I'm mourning over the Final Four defeat of the Cards. I cried with 2 minutes left in the game! The worst part was seeing the players realize the inevitable end coming...that's what I cried for...not the actual loss.
You know what I thought about during the second half of the Cards-Ilini game? AFC Championship game...it's like, you spend the second half dreaming up of the glorious comeback your team'll pull for an unbelievable victory. But at the very end, you realize the reality. It's quite heartbraking...
But don't worry...I still love you!
Super Bowl XXXX is YOURS...take it!
....edited from Troy...lol

ps. feel free to email me anytime...i'll entertain ya!

Hey Ben! So glad to see you writing again! We missed you a ton!!!
I cant wait until next season! I think you and the steelers really just brought faith and encouragement back into this city and i cant thank you enough for just doing what you are doing.
I have been a steeler fan for almost 10 years but have never made it to a game. Just couldnt afford it or conflicting schedules, etc. But i have never missed a televised game..EVER!
I am a full time student majoring in psychology and also manage a store. So you can tell time is tight. This season i have made a vow to come and see you guys play ..LIVE and couldnt be more exctied!
( Dont know why i felt the need to share this with you...but..hey ...)
I just want you to know how happy it makes me to be a Steeler fan, not only because you guys have such talent and heart, but also because of the wonderful people you are off of the field.
You and your family will remain in my prayers and i wish you all the best- you definatly deserve it!

HI Ben,
My name is Lin. I have been a STEELER fan since the day I was born. I am so glad you are a Steeler! Growing up, my mom and I watched the Steelers every week and we never missed a game. My son, Shawn, is three years old and thanks to you, he's becoming a football fan. When he sees a picture of you, or sees you on tv, he yells "Mommy, there's Ben!" I am looking forward to being able to start watching the games with him, like my mom and I did. I can't wait for the season to start! Best of luck, Ben, in all you do! PFJ!!!

Ben,
Sorry to hear the bad news about one of your family members. Best wishes to them from my family and I. Ben I live 3 hours from Indy and I will be in attendance for that game when you and the rest of the Steelers play the Colts. My mother and I are two of your biggest fans.
I have been a fan of yours since your college days and you don't know how glad I was when you were drafted by my beloved Steelers. Good luck to you on this upcoming season. I have visions of Ben to Cedric Wilson all year.

OXFORD, Ohio (AP) - Freshman Ben Roethlisberger passed for a school-record 399 yards, throwing a 70-yard touchdown pass to Eddie Tillitz as time ran out Saturday to lead Miami University over Akron 30-27.
...so i didnt know off hand..but it took me an hour to find it so I had to post

Ben~
I am sorry to hear about your family member, I will keep you and your family in my prayers, as I know it is difficult when someone you love is ill. I think you are a great role model for young kids. You stand up for what you believe in and you are not afraid to talk about your faith. That is admirable! There are not many guys out there like that. Or that I have found anyway. I am a big Christian, so trust me, I have been looking for the family oriented, great, Christian guy. No luck yet, but God already has him picked out for me and when he is ready for me to meet him then I will. But, anyways - about potty training - I have a 6 month old minature daschund. She was the hardest to potty train, she had NO interest. So, I reasearched it and read something about training dogs to bells. I tried it and after about a month of taking her to the bells and touching her nose to them to ring them she got it! YEA!!!! Now, she is potty trained and rings her bell every time she needs to go out. For the first month, after she went I would reward her when she came back in with a treat. Then I started taking those away, and now she is completely potty trained with no reward! Hope this helps!
Good luck and God Bless!

Hey, Ben. I just wanted to say that you have done a tremendous job, not only with the Steelers but as an influence as well. I loved being home from school this past year so I could see everyone's "Big Ben" flags and whatnot.
Anyway, I think it's great you are posting on here more often. I can imagine how much everyone on this site appreciates it.
I'm sorry to hear about your ill family member. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
I was wondering if you were going to be at Mario Lemieux's celebrity golf tournament in June? I am volunteering there and would love to get the chance to see you there.
I hope your second year with my favorite team in my home city is more fantastic than the past year. I look forward to tailgating outside of Heinz Field (since us broke college kids can't afford tickets)! Take care and God bless.
