Hi Ben,

I'm sorry to hear about your recent illness. I hope you'll be feeling better soon!! I'd bake you some of your favorite apple pie but I guess you're too far away.. (I'm writing from Germany.) Do you speak any German? If you do: Gute Besserung und viele Gruesse an Zeus! Ich wuerde mich freuen, von euch beiden zu hoeren.

Shannon

I was so upset to hear about your recent illness. You have been through so much adversity since winning the SuperBowl. An amazing year for your career but no so for yourself personally. You are in my prayers every night. Hope to see you playing soon!!!

Josh Feitknecht

Dude...get ready for Jacksonville baby !!! kick some tail in Florida. You have got to be ready to get a win on Byron Leftwich...best of luck man.

No matter what the team record is as of(9-25-06), I still love you! When are you coming back to Giant's Stadium?...obviously not this season. I will back at W&J for my college reunion, but can't make it to the game...any chance of scalping tickets at Heinz field? Would love to see you all live again and would catch a flight if I could get tickets, win or lose....
One of your biggest fans in the New York area!!!

Dear friends,

In a few weeks, having lived twelve years in Pittsburgh, I shall relocate to Alexandria, Virginia.

I have very much enjoyed Pittsburgh over these past twelve years for many reasons, among them our beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.

While required to leave Pittsburgh, I feel compelled to leave behind one painting that expresses my deep appreciation for all the happy memories our city, its Steelers, and Ben have provided me.

It is my hope that when this painting is offered to Dan Rooney and his front office staff they will see fit to accept it and hang it in a location that is viewable to all you who share my love for Pittsburgh’s heart.

You are now the first to view my completed painting, which measures five feet by four, and has been completed in oils on canvas. Maybe they’ll offer me a few good tickets to pass around to you, in return for not painting Mark Brunell.

With these thoughts in mind, I wish you well,

Ben you very special to the team
and to the fans we all love you Ben and don't every leave your woman ok she is a very sweet woman

Ben I wrote this song for you and your woman this come truly from the heart ok

I look in the mirrow and what do I see A total stranger looking back at me Is it the reflection on the wall or the shadow on the floor.

I look in the mirrow and what do I see a total stranger looking back at me. Is she sweet or is he just a little bit dangerous. I look in the mirrow and what do I see a total stranger looking back at me.

I look in the mirrow and what do I see all the thing's that I could be a Dr. lawyer , vet or even a teach or such.

I look in the mirrrow and what do I see A total stranger looking back at me.

Is it the reflection on the wall or the shadow on the floor.

Ben this song is decated to you and your girl.

Hey Ben! What's up? Congratulations on your win last week! I'm a big VA Tech and Steelers fan, and after the game last Thursday night.. I was happy with the game on Sunday, and at least that put a smile on my face!!:) I had a question for you... So,I randomly put you're name in on a myspace search just for the heck of it, and 50 million pages came up! What could I have expected right?? Anyways, they all say they are the real Ben, and the others are fake! My question is, is there any real way to figure out if any of them are the real you?? Just wondering if you had any key signatures or anything that you do, so people know that it's really you! Hope you have a great game in Atlanta, and a GREAT weekend!
Love and Prayers,
Sarah

Going to Miami U for parents weekend the 27th & 28th. I remember watching you play there your sophomore and junior year. You sure were a treat--I bet Ryan Robinson sure misses you!!!!
My daughter is a senior (Theta) and is trying to get into sports marketing. She volunteered at Miami's S.P. last year. Good luck this weekend-glad to hear you're feeling much better.GO STEELERS!

Sharon Himes

hi ben,
just wanted you to know how awesome comeback you made.

i am from findlay, now living in peoria az. how about that new stadium. you have a terrific dad. iworked for him at filtech. great guy and devoted father

Hi Ben,

How are you doing with your walk in the faith. I will hold you up in prayer.

On my locker at work, I have a picture of you as you run on the field pointing you finger up to heaven. I have heard you do this in regard to you mother, yet, as a man of faith, I believe it is your way of giving the Father glory and I thank you. It is good to see those who are in professional sports do these things for the world is becoming a scary place anymore.

So I pray you keep God first is all things and do not forget about the next greatest commandment, to love your brother as yourself.

Lisa M. White

Ben:
So you are now 2-5, but there is still hope. According to the stats with the Raiders you should have won by a landslide. Take care of yourself and good luck next week. I am well overdure to head to work on Monday in a good mood! Love you lots......regardless of your record!

HI. Me and my family love the steelers we are die heart fans. we love youre team . My moms side of the family was born and raised in pittsburg i was the first person to be born in Arizona!Welll anyway keep trying youre best keep youre team in line and kepp youre head in the game during game time. Love the steeler fans

Rosemarie Paulling

I am sorry you were hurt on the field. I saw your family stand up in shock when it happened. The cameras showed them standing up and watching anxiously. As a mom, I know that feeling. I hope that you don't go back on the field during a game until the team doctor says it won't hurt your career. As you know, you can play on hurt limbs but concussions are serious, if that was what happened. Looks like the Lord is watching out for you. You keep on coming back from accidents and now this. I have been a fan of the Steelers for years because of Mr. Sullivan, the late team owner. The goodness of his heart is legendary. At that time, I did not see any other team helping in the community, but I am not sure of that, but your team stood out among the rest as making a difference. I became a fan because you guys are a light shining, showing everyone on and off the field that integrity and goodness is something we should all aspire to. Knowing from your blogs that you are a Christian just confirms what I have witnessed. My husband makes fun of me because I only watch football when the Steelers are on. I want to see good guys winning and it feels great when you do. I pray each game that the team that glorifies the Lord will win. I know God doesn't take sides in football, but only in His people. I see you running and I ask God to help you. Even if the game has been pre-recorded, God is the Alpha and the Omega of time. A prayer to Him is a prayer no matter when it is said.

Anyway, bless you for taking time to blog with us. You have a lot to do and yet you take time.

Dear Mr. Roethlisberger,

I am writing to ask if you would be so Kind to send me a Signed Autographed Football or Helment? You are my hero. You taught me to reach beyond my limitations. To tell you a little bit about myself. I am a man born with a birth defect known as Spina bifida. I am an advocate for the disabled and an International published poet with close to 900 publications world wide. I am also a Guinness & ripley's world record holder for the longest non stop wheelie in a wheelchair, covering a total distance of 6.178 miles. The reason for my world record, was to help raise money for wheelchair ramps in my community. Now, just the other day I was given an offer to carry the torch for the 2006 Asian games. I was in total shock when I heard that I was the only one from the United states to be given such an offer. I guess it just goes to show, that where their are disabilities, there are abilities as well. Although I am disabled, my life has truly been blessed. My only real wish in life is to use my own accomplishments to help others to reach beyond their limitations. Above, you will find my mailing address.Well I must be going now. I look foward to hearing from you.

God Bless You,
Robert M. Hensel

Ben, I'm a native from your neck of the woods (North Baltimore, Oh) and such a big fan!! Keep your head up darlin' (I live in the south now; darlin' is a real word here) you & the Steelers are still the same power house you were last year and will be rocking the NFL again before you know it. You are proving yourself to be a real leader and we're all very proud of you!
Continued success and blessing to you!!
