It doesn't matter....TRUE Steelers fan stand behind their team come hell or high waters. If ya just jump on the bandwagon of last year to make yourself "look" good and be part of the crowd for the "winning team", sounds like a personal problem. I stand by my team...have been for years and years. You don't give up just because the going gets tough....that's when they need the fans the most.
Either you love your team or you're a backseat driver jump'n on the bandwagon when they do good. You are either true to yourself and your team, or a FAKE FLAKE who just has issues. Get over them!
I still believe in you Ben....still love ya! Don't think you were ready to play today only because you, your body and your mind has been through sooooo much last few months....but that's yours and the Coach's call. I think you just need time to really really heal after all that has gone on. Then come back after you are not just rested and recovered, but MENTALLY ready to take the hits, buy time in the pocket, and not play so conservatively. I want to see you play, but at 100%, and I don't want to see any more injuries.
BUT, that doesn't mean I believe any less of you. You the MAN!
October 29, 2006 at 09:25 PM
I can't completely blame Ben on the Raiders loss... He really believed he was ready to play, and physically he was... I don't think mentally he was all there... I blame Cowher for getting a hard on for Ben and not pulling him after the 3rd interception... Ok so they scored on the next drive... too little too late. As was the drive at the end of the Bengals Game... The thing I’m tired of hearing is "We are getting better each game" which was the quote of the Steelers leading up to this game... I don't think so...
The offensive line is falling harder than our playoff hopes...
Willie Parker has to look like Barry Sanders to get a yard these days...
But back to the matter...
By having Ben play the whole game and lose, it is shortening his career as a Pittsburgh favorite...
Hear me out...
Neil O'Donnell - Loved by the fans, one of the most consistent QB in Steelers history... One game, two INTs and end of story...
Kordell Stewart - SLASH! Made a lot of heads up plays, exciting...
Lost more horribly than and QB i can remember... the Steelers had a QB Controversy with him and Kent Graham.. i mean come on!
Tommy Maddox... He finally ended the Dark Days of Stewart, and was the one of the beloved to the city. One day in Jacksonville last year and he had garbage thrown on his lawn and people ready to crucify him...
Ben - wins 15 straight. SB next year, this year a lot of injuries... let him rest and get 100% or watch the city turn on him
If only Cowher could see that.

SORRY THAT YOU'RE GOING THRU A ROUGH TIME...MAYBE YOU NEED TO REST A FEW WEEKS...I KNOW YOU'RE TRYING YOUR HARDEST...BUT A GOOD QB LIKE YOU DOESN'T NEED TO "TRY HIS HARDEST" IT COMES NATURALLY...REST A WEEK OR SO, LET BATCH DO HIS JOB...I THINK EVERYONE CAN SEE YOU'RE NOT EMOTIONALLY READY TO PLAY, EVERYONE BUT YOU...TRUE STEELER FANS STAND BEHIND THEIR TEAM, NOT "FANS" THAT JUMPED ON THE WAGON THE LAST YEAR OR SO....PITTSBURGH LOVES YA BEN...GOD BLESS!! :)
OH AND TO JEFF THAT SAID PITTSBURGH FANS TRASHED MADDOX'S YARD WITH GARBAGE, THAT WAS A HOAX..IT WAS ALL OVER THE NEWS.

Nice try in ur game today. I couldn't really see the tv, cuz i was at a resturant and i kept on seein number 7. They should it like 5 hundred times, but everytime i looked u already turned around so i couldn't see the back of ur jersy. But then at the end of the game i finally found it. It was really that bad of a game. But its too bad that you guys couldn't get in another touchdown. Well i hope to hear from you soon.

I thought i posted before, but i guess it didn't work.
I was tryin to get info on you to do my Research speech for school and i found this. I was hopin that this would help me try to figure out how we are related. I know its a long shot, but not very many ppl have the last name roethlisberger. I always get ask if there is a relation some where and i say yes somewhere, but not sure. Some guys even asked to shake my hand just cuz i was a roethlisberger and that is as close as they could get to u. I thought it was kinda weird, but i guess it works. I just hope that i can find a relation somewhere in the line so that i can tell ppl that we are related. You have made our name famous. Which is totally osmly cool. I was wonderin if maybe some how you could email me and we could like try and figure it out. I know you don't have alot of time, with fans and football and everything else, but i hope that you could. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. So if you could email me that would be great. O and when is the next time you are goin to be in Michigan?? cuz that is where i live. Saginaw, mich. SO lemme know.

I wish my life was so dull that I had to post smack on a website for a team I don't cheer. That would make me feel like I'm really cool.

Ben- Hang tough. It will all work out in the end. Your true Steelers' fans have your back all the way! But you Must shake it off. Don't let what happened yesterday effect what could happen tomorrow.
I still believe... Here We Go Steelers!
October 30, 2006 at 04:51 PM
I heard that you did not have a great game yesterday. There are some people that want you to be bench for next week's game. On the other hand, I want to see you play, be very healthy. I think that you will bounce back to win against the Broncos. I have a lot of faith in you, and I hope that you do win.!!! Don't give up, and believe in yourself that you can find away to win all of those games. Go Big Ben!!! We all still love you. Love Cynthia

I realize this year is not going how you planed and not how us steelers fans have planed but really what can we do? sometimes it just doesn't go your way and you might not have control over that. which can be hard to come to a realization about but i will refer to a a poem that i was given when i thought things were down. i warn you and all others who read this it is mighty corny but it will put a smile on your face:
i believe in you-- in the things that are important to you and in the way you choose tou live your life...i believe that you can accomplish anything you set out to do, that you have many talents and the wisdom to use them well...i believe that you have what it takes to overcome obstacles and to grow from every experience life brings your way...i believe in your courage your compassion, your integrity, and your strength. i believe in your goodness...i believe in you!!
that poem always helped me through the times that were a little shadowed i thought it might shed light on your day if you ever read this you just have to remember there are many people who have your backs and will never let you fall but so far before they try to help pick you up!!
A steelers fan and your fan!

I hope you have a good week at practice this week.I was really impressed with the way you handled yourself in front of the media the other day.A lesser man would'nt have handled things with the maturity that you did.Hope Sunday goes well and just like the others,I am with ya' 100%.

Wzup Big guy,
Tough losses. The pressure is mounting. U should take a minute and clear ur mind and meditate one afternoon before the game against Denver. (look over the AFCC game) Just come to peace with urself. U know as well as I do the Broncos are going to rattled the pocket with constant pressure and their secondary will be looking for opportunities. Poise is a word u probably hear all the time, so i'll use it only once: U r going to need to be incredibly poised on Sunday. I don't want to say much cuz everybody else is probably ringing in ur head but good luck and if this is not ur year, there is always next year. Still have faith in the Steelers!!! The Broncos are only monsters in Mile High St. Lets welcome them to the Steel City.
PS - u rn't throwing picks cuz ur bad, its cuz u rn't relaxed
October 31, 2006 at 11:34 AM
Well, obviously you didn't play your best game on Sunday, but it definetly takes a real man to admit it was his fault, so props to you on that. Of course, the Steelers really need the win next week, so don't give up, and don't beat yourself up over this loss. I'm confident in you guys, so don't give up. Your real Steelers fans are still behind you guys.
Let's show the Broncos and all those disbelievers what you're made of!
LETS GO STEELERS
October 31, 2006 at 05:28 PM
hey keep your head up. don't let those raiders get you down. even though they were 1-5 and they loss to every but us and someone else, but hey that's o.k. They just brought their A game and we brought our B game. But it's all good, and man is it just me or does Joey Porter just get sexier and sexier every game? man i sweating the whole game.
love you guys,

I'm a high school classmate of your father's. I have true respect and good memories of him.
Am praying and rooting for you through this hard time you've hit. God wants to use those hard times to bring us closer to him.

I just wanted to tell you to keep your head up!! You're still an amazing quarterback and you have nothing to worry about. Don't give up, we need this win against the Broncos more than anything! I know you will show them what you're all about.
