Hey Ben,

Glad to hear the guys took you in. Who was your favorite target at camp? I heard you gave Milons some trouble, he wasn't expecting the football to get to him that fast. hah. Keep up the good work.

John Biegel

Can't wait to see you in action man. Who's your favorite guy to throw to so far?

Dan Nicksich

Ben, glad to hear mini camp went well for you. I can't wait to see those Big Ben to Hines Ward touchdown passes. You two will be one of the best QB, WR combos in the NFL. Again just want to say I'm so glad you ended up Steeler. The best thing about you is that you seem to be a Pittsburgh guy. Good luck

Your fan,

Dan Nicksich

dear Ben Roethlisberger,

I'm glad your first day of mini-camp went well,I cant wait to see you play in a NFL game with the Pittsburgh Steeliers and hope to see you become one of the great ones,so untile the season starts, see you later,
Your biggest fan,

Hi Ben!
I am so glad to hear that Tommy is being a good mentor for you. He has always seemed like such a great guy, and I would like to see us get to keep both of you guys. When the time comes for you to be the starter, he's a class act to keep as a backup.

I grew up in Pittsburgh, and live in Ohio so I get a lot of crap for being a steelers fan, which I'm sure you're already getting when you're at home!

Anyways, glad camp went well, I heard and read all good things. Keep up the hard work, and thanks for the journals!

Dear Big Ben,
That's cool that you are learning and getting better at your posistion. Also since you stated that Tommy is helping you out will tell the media to pipe downa the QB conserversy. I can't wait to see you in pre-season throwing the deep balls to our WRs. Take care, work hard, stay focus and most of all, have fun.

Robo >:)

Way to go Ben. Me and wife are now pondering making our family vacations at Training camp. Keep up the good work.

Your fans,

(Chris, Jen, Alexis, & Willie)

Hey Ben , what up ? If you get sick of throwing passes to your dad, hit me up , it would be a dream to catch a pass from you. I live about 15 minutes away from you and our old high schools are in same conference.

To add a few questions for ya -

Who WAS your favorite NFL team. Of course it's the Steelers now , but be honest, we will still love you. Might be a little hard if you was a clowns fan though but I'll get over it. Wait if it was the clowns , dont tell me. Hehehe Just Kidding. Please answer.

Please don't hurt Freddie Milions with those darts your slanging , we would acually like to get a look at him this year. haha

Hey we heard you and your friends check out the message board at the steelers web site so how about surprising everyone and saying hi sometime. That would make alot of people's day.

Thanks again for keeping us up to date!

I'm so glad to hear that you did well in your first Mini-Camp. I saw some pictures and from what I hear, you are a natural Steeler.

Hey Ben,

Did you start contract talk yet? I noticed that you pat the ball before you throw it, are the coaches telling you to not to do that? Your mechanics seem to be great besides that. Did you like your new QB coach? What was he stressing to you? Good luck Ben.

Liz H

I think it's awesome that you're taking the time out of what must be an obviously busy life to update your fans on your new experiences. Thanx again for the insights and good luck in the upcoming season.

I am looking foward to watching you play in the future. I was excited that the Steelers drafted you.It is about time to draft a QB in the first round since 1980. I believe that you will be a good QB in the future. You have excellent wide recievers like Ward,Burress,El Rande, Doering,Mays and Milons.

Good luck,

So glad that the Steelers made a wide choice this season and brought you on board. As a life-long Steelers fan, I can't explain how great it is to truly believe that we have what it takes this year. Keep up the hard work - we'll be visiting training camp this summer.

Your biggest fan :)

p.s. I think I have a big crush on you, single?

Hey Ben,
How's practice been. Just wondering how does it feel being around such an amazing guy like Joey porter?

Glad to hear that minicamp is going so well for you. Kick some butt this season and make Miami proud.

Ben - Good Luck with the Steelers. It sure will be great following your pro career. Especially since you have been a neighbor in Findlay. All Steeler fans need to know that you are a class guy.

Craig C.

Hello Ben:

I've followed your career at Miami U the past 4 years, and I'm a long time Miami Redskins fan. Since were not allowed to talk about politics or religion on Miami HawkTalk, I'd like to take this opportunity to encourage you to be strong in your committment to Christ and continue to spend time in prayer. I want you to know that I (and I'm sure others) have committed to praying for you that God will bless you--that you will be kept safe from injury and that the Lord will give you peace and the right frame of mind to deal with the speed of the game at this level and that you will be blessed in all you do out there. I'm sure you will find other people on the team who are also Christians.

Stay close to the Lord and you wont have a problem with pride. I think you will eventually see too that God was in control of when/where you got drafted.

Sorry to sound like your pastor or some kind of spiritual nut, but once you get really famous I may not have an opportunity to post or you'll have some many emails you wont be able to read them all--right? haha. Take care and all the best to you.

I remember one day in the summer of 2000... a fellow Miami Alum let me know of this great QB prospect from Findlay.

We were at the Michigan game your Red-Frosh year, and you torched them (too bad for the penalties and UM scoring right before half).
Lloyd Carr knew right away... you should've heard the relief in his voice after the game... How happy is he that you didn't stay, although I heard Betts had a great spring!

We have followed your progress throughout, and as we are only fans, and do not know you personally, your talent, leadership, hard work, and committment seem to have put you among the greats in Miami Football history.

Of that, you should be extremely proud.

I've been a pretty good Browns fan my whole life, but as the Browns morph into the Miami Hurricanes before our eyes, both in personnel and antics, I bought my first black and gold...

It was more difficult than I thought it would be... but,

The Miami Nation is behind you 100%.

Take Care,

Dear Ben,
I'm glad you're doing good so far. I live around the corner and was playing with my friends and seen you throwing the ball with your Dad. Man that looked like it hurts him! We just moved up here last year and so Good Luck and see you in the yard soon. A new fan.......Jacob
