Wzup big guy,
To all Steelers fans, the National Doppler Radar has malfunctioned and the readings are skewed in favor of warmer weather but that is not the case, there is a cold front coming this weekend on Sunday to Hienz field, the winds will be picking up, temperatures will drop and the chill factor is inevitable. The taste of snow days to come will be in the air; and I think I know what time it is: Its time for some Steeler football. Let's get serious, dig our fingers into the tundra-like earth, breathe with the intensity of steel mill workers, and grasp hold of the pigskin like a welded piece of metal; and then, and only then, mold it into a victory over the Broncos in the Steel City.
You with me!!!!!! HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!!
Just a little picker-upper!!
Can't wait till Sunday!!!
4:15 PM
I have a Good Feeling about this one.
Big Ben: 20/28 279 yrd 2 TD (Washington, Ward), 1 INT
(watch it man its going to be a rough game)
FWP: 105 yrd
Davenport: 45 yrds
Kuhn: 10 yrds 1TD
Miller (I'm from UVa) get out there into Cowher's face and ask for more plays.
Defense Shut 'em Down 2INTs, 65 yrd rushing, 115 in the air
Steelers 21-13
GO STEELERS!!!

Hey Ben
I have a really good feeling about this game! You guys are a smash mouth football team but when watching the games i havn't seen Porter yell "Smash mouth footbal baby" we need a little of that! I pray for you guys every night and wear your jersey every game. I defend your losses to other football fans and flaunt you wins.
I have the utmost faith and respect for you and the team!
Love Ya

Hey there,
This is my first contribution to a blog and there are some web-centric phrases and abbreviations that I am not familiar, nor comfortable with. I like to write long form :)
Anyway, I just wanted to add my voice of support to the chorus of well-wishers and Steelers' fans. I admire the way you have coped with the adversities you have had over the past 5 months, as well as your outlook on life.
Just keep playing hard, and smart, and you'll get your groove back. Go Steelers!

A true fan is one who recoqnizes when their team stinks and admits it and demands change---the rest of you morons bury your heads in the sand and say things will be better next week.
well it is next week---its been next week--and things arent going to get better till they make some changes you bunch of freaking idiots!!!!
The whole damn team got lazy and are still playing with a hangover from winning a super bowl they actually did not deserve to win.
And the main ingredient that got them there last year is gone forever -- Jerome Bettis--the man who was the heartbeat of the team---hallowed be his name.

Ben,
That's the crap i take every day from all the other not steelers fans. Thanks for the 2-6 start, and the end of the season. :(
Posted by: Robert | November 05, 2006 at 08:16 PM
Yeah---now go run along with the rest of the morons who think like you and bury your head in the sand too Robert! LOL!

Ben- My name is Christian Kloster and I just wanted to say hello. For the longest time your name seemed very familiar to me but I just couldn't remember why. In speaking with my Grandmother (just wait, I promise this will make sense) it finally dawned on me why your name was so familiar. Back in late 80's I used to visit my Grandmother in my hometown of Van Wert, Ohio and while I was there I befriended a little boy named Ben who lived next door. We would shoot baskets in his driveway and hang out almost every day just passing the summer days. He had very kind parents that took us to the movies, canoeing and to the museums in Chicago. Of course I am trying to say that that little boy was you, I can't believe it took me this long to jog my memory and come to the realization as to why your name seemed so familiar to me. With that being said, my reason for coming to this site is to congratulate you on your accomplishments and to wish you good luck for the rest of this year (even though you chose my Chiefs to beat up on!) Say hello to your parents for me, and thank them for the kindness they showed me that summer. Take care...

Ben,
Just came back from a trip to see you guys take on the Broncos. I know you're in a rough patch, and I just want to say that we still have faith in you! God bless and best wishes in the holiday season.

I was reading your blog and I noticed somebody spelt Jaymie the way I did, so not to get confused I added to mine.
Some of these people are being pretty hard on you, I think they forget it is a team........I like at it this way, I will always love the Steelers win or lose, so this may not be our year but we always have next year. Take care and God bless.
